Description
The Care Quality Commission defines adult safeguarding as “Safeguarding means protecting people’s health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. It’s fundamental to high-quality health and social care”. This Safeguarding of Adults Level 3 is for staff who may have overall responsibility for Safeguarding within their organisation.
For example, the Safeguarding Lead. Learners undertaking this course will have a higher level of knowledge and responsibility in responding to Safeguarding incidents, allegations and concerns. The Safeguarding of Adults Level 3 covers safeguarding legislation and guidance, how to contribute to assessments and investigations, organisational protocols and processes, how to support vulnerable adults and their families and how to document incidents, allegations and concerns.
