Description

About the Course:

Aims:

The Observation course is designed to show how supportive observation and engagement differ from a low level of observations and engagement. It is a therapeutic intervention aimed at reducing factors which can contribute to increased risk and how it can promote recovery. It is designed to enable the candidate to record and observe in a confident and constructive manner.

We cover the legislation that governs the intervention such as the Human Rights Act and the Mental Health Act.
We will learn about the challenges facing staff undertaking patient observations and how to deal with incidents.
We then teach how to correctly fill in the relevant documentation.

Course Costs:

Cost: £50 (incl. VAT) per delegate, half-day course. Please Contact us to discuss your needs.
