Description
About the Course:
This is a bespoke package that involves three mandatory courses, including a one-day PMVA, as well as half-day Basic Life Support (BLS) and half-day Manual Handling (MH). This 2-day course will compromise both, a theory presentation and practical assessment.
This tailored package enables participants to understand, monitor and manage verbal and physical aggression in the workplace. The first day (PMVA) will include personal safety (breakaway techniques), de-escalation, and scenario-based training. On the second day, the half-day course will cover the practical elements of BLS, particularly it will cover how to perform chest compression and rescue breathing (CPR), operate an automated external defibrillator, place an unconscious breathing casualty in the recovery position, and deal with a choking casualty. And the other half-day will cover manual handling skills to ensure that all staff are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to undertake manual handling tasks safely.
All physical intervention training is delivered in line with the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) and BILD guidelines and standards.
